I was looking for a place to wait while my aunt had day surgery at the hospital. The Breakfast Barn is right across the street and what a great surprise!  It's new and clean with a real rustic and friendly feel.

I had the early bird special which arrived in no time.  Hot and perfect.  Very reasonable.   These people are not out to gouge you.

The parking out back is ample and it's easy to get to.

My bf and I had mixed feelings.  Ordered reg bacon and eggs and a larger breakfast that included French toast. The breakfast arrived very very quickly, correctly and the rest of the service was great.  Neither of us thoroughly enjoyed the homefries, they had some spice on them but needed to be mixed in more as some would have no flavour at all and others would have too much.  Bf complained the French toast was made using bread that was too thinly sliced but I like it that way Bacon was delicious which is always an important part of the day.  There's parking around back.  They have a nice mix of omelettes and also Eggs Benny. Looked like daily specials as well.  They do have jam - just wanted to comment as someone else's review says they didn't.  Will return to try again.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but this place was pretty awesome. Fast and friendly. Breakfast hit the spot. Prices were suitable. Menu was pretty simple.

We were looking for a local breakfast place and were headed to Sambo's. Unfortunately, it was closed/boarded up.  Decided on Breakfast Barn which was awesome...eggs benedict w/peameal bacon was the best! Will make this place a "must go" next time we're vacationing at Long Beach...gotta love the burgers too!

The Breakfast Barn is a cool little restaurant on King. Unfortunately they didn't live up to mere standards. Eggs burnt, mixed up orders (same table but wrong plate), and a very small serving of chocolate milk for a "large". Also, sticky maple syrup bottles, and no jam!!

The good- large servings, very fast to get your food (was not busy this day), and free parking (dedicated lot) on the side street. Sadly, not returning.

Also to note- no cards; cash only. Although there is an ATM on site.
